Original WWII German Soldier's Grouping
An interesting and well-preserved original WWII German soldier's grouping consisting of a Wehrpass, Ahnenpass, photo album, Ostmedaille (Eastern Front Medal), a memorial Sterbebild of Leutnant Erhard Erler, and several additional personal documents. The memorial card states that Erler, a company commander in an Infantry Regiment and recipient of several awards, survived four previous wounds before being killed in action on the Eastern Front on 8 July 1943, during the opening phase of the Battle of Kursk. A historically interesting and complete personal wartime grouping, offering an excellent insight into the life and service of a German soldier during the Second World War.
