Rare Framed WHW "VDA" Tinnies Collection – German WWII Era
An impressive and rarely encountered original framed collection of WHW (Winterhilfswerk) donation tinnies, issued in support of the VDA (Verein für das Deutschtum im Ausland) campaign during the Third Reich period.
This attractive display consists of 60 different shield-shaped badges, each featuring the coat of arms and name of a historic German city or region. The series commemorates places that were considered part of the German cultural heritage at the time, including locations that today belong to Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Belgium, France, Lithuania, Estonia, Italy, Romania, and other European countries.
 
The collection is in very good condition with only minor signs of age and wear, consistent with its age. A rare opportunity to acquire an original complete display that would be difficult to assemble today.
