Beautiful M42 single-decall Luftwaffe camouflage helmet in nicely worn condition with an attractive amount of honest patina.
The helmet retains a rough green and gray camouflage finish that has naturally worn over time, particularly on the crown, giving it a genuine combat-used appearance. A small piece of jute cord is still attached to one of the liner split pins, possibly indicating that a camouflage net or cord was once fitted to the helmet.
The helmet also has a cut chinstrap, which may indicate that it was removed from a KIA (Killed in Action) helmet, although this cannot be confirmed.
Overall, this is a very attractive original combat-worn Luftwaffe camouflage helmet with excellent character and display appeal.
