On January 30, 1938, Hitler introduced the "Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen Sonderstufe für 50 Jahre" (Treudienst-Ehrenzeichen Sonderstufe für 50 Jahre) in three categories. This award was intended to recognize civil servants and public works employees who had served for many years. This rare medal for fifty years of loyal service is complete with its original blue ribbon. The medal is in good, used condition and exhibits a dark patina. There is no visible maker's mark, but the medal was most likely produced by the Munich company "Deschler & Sohn." A rare, original example in good, used condition!
