Wehrmacht (Heer) Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß). On January 24, 1936, this new model enlisted belt buckle was officially introduced, replacing the previous Weimar-period Reichsheer belt buckle. The basic design remained unchanged, with only the addition of the new Wehrmacht-style national eagle. This belt buckle model was worn throughout the Third Reich, with minor variations and color differences. The color differences were determined by regulations, which dictated which uniform style it was worn with. A beautiful field gray-painted aluminum belt buckle. The belt buckle is maker-marked "B&N 37," indicating production by Berg & Nolte AG from Lüdenscheid in 1937. A beautiful, original, early belt buckle in good used condition!
