The Anschluss Medal was a Nazi German award. This commemorative medal was instituted by Adolf Hitler on October 18, 1938, after he forced the annexation of the Sudetenland through threats of violence.The medal was awarded to Germans involved in the incorporation of the Sudetenland, the territory annexed by Germany in 1938 following the Munich Agreement. It was intended to recognize the so-called "reunification" of the Sudetenland with the German Reich.
