This is a British military beret/badge of The Durham Light Infantry (DLI) .
The distinctive bugle symbol surmounted by the Royal Crown and the letters “DLI” in the centre is typical of this light infantry unit of the British Army.
The DLI existed from 1881 to 1968 and the emblem was worn on the beret, which is from the WWII period.
