This is a British military beret/emblem of The Durham Light Infantry (DLI) .
The distinctive hunting horn symbol (bugle) surmounted by the royal crown and with the letters “DLI” in the centre is typical of this light infantry unit of the British Army.
The DLI existed from 1881 to 1968 and the emblem was worn on the beret; this one is from the WWII period.
