After the First World War, the Saar region was under the administration of the League of Nations. In 1935, a referendum was held. With an overwhelming majority (90%+), the population voted for return to Germany. This pin is therefore propaganda in favor of that referendum , issued by National Socialist organizations to mobilize support.
