to demonstrate loyalty to the regime and participation in social initiatives.
The small holes at the top and bottom of the rim were for mounting with nails or screws.
The NSV (National Socialist Welfare) was the Nazi welfare organization , founded in 1933, with the aim of providing social care to "Aryan" Germans in accordance with National Socialist ideology. It was one of the largest organizations in Nazi Germany and worked closely with the NSDAP.
