Luftwaffe 4 Years of Loyal Service Medal (Wehrmacht-Dienstauszeichnung). On March 16, 1936, Adolf Hitler instituted the Loyal Service Medal to recognize military personnel for loyal long service. The medal was established in four classes for 4, 12, 18, and 25 years of loyal service. This example is for 4 years of loyal service and has a silver finish. This example was originally issued on a so-called "Einzelspange" (single clasp). The medal has a miniature Luftwaffe eagle attached to the blue ribbon. It also comes complete with a functional pin/hook for wearing on a uniform. On the reverse is a metal label from the tailor "Max Reuter" from Münster in the Westphalia. A beautiful original example in very good condition!
