Silver Cross of the German Mother (Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter). This medal was instituted by Adolf Hitler on December 16, 1938, to encourage childbirth. The medal was introduced in three classes: the Bronze Cross for the fourth child, the Silver Cross for the sixth child, and the Gold Cross for eight or more children. Children were important for the future of the Reich. The cross is complete with its original long ribbon. A beautiful original cross in good condition!
