MG34 or MG42 ammunition box (Patronenkasten 41). The M34 ammunition box was originally developed for MG34 ammunition and held up to three hundred 7.92mm rounds. The M34 and M41 boxes remained in use throughout the war and were also used with the MG42 after its introduction. This box is a late-war steel example with a beautiful field gray paint; the box shows some normal scratches from use. The box is marked 'Patr.Kast.41.fMG', nicely maker marked and dated with skt. Rare original example in good used and uncleaned condition, as found!
