The lock has been polished at some point, causing the patina to disappear. Otherwise, the lock is in good condition and will certainly look great on an SS soldier in your collection.
The buckle clearly shows:
"155/40"
This is a so-called RZM encoding type , where:155 = maker code
40 = year of production , so 1940
The RZM code “155” stood for the company:
Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid (FLL)
This company was a common supplier of military buckles and badges for the Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe and SS.
