Wehrmacht (Heer) Belt with Buckle (Koppel und Koppelschloß). On January 24, 1936, this new model enlisted belt buckle was officially introduced, replacing the previous Weimar-period Reichsheer belt buckle. The basic design remained unchanged, with only the addition of the new Wehrmacht-style national eagle. This belt buckle model was worn throughout the Third Reich, with minor variations and color differences. The color differences were determined by regulations governing the uniform style it was worn with. This is an early two-piece aluminum belt buckle. The buckle has a pebbled background, and the separate front plate is attached with four prongs. The belt buckle is complete with its original 98cm long varnished leather and field gray wool-lined belt, as found together. A beautiful, original, early parade-style belt with buckle in good used condition, perfect for completing a Waffenrock!
