Wehrmacht (Heer) Belt with Belt Lock (Koppel und Koppelschloß). On January 24, 1936, this new model of enlisted men's belt lock was officially introduced, replacing the preceding Weimar period Reichsheer belt lock. The basic design remained unchanged, with only the addition of the new Wehrmacht-style national eagle. This model of belt lock was worn throughout the entire Third Reich period, with minor variations and color differences. The color differences were determined by regulations regarding the style of uniform with which it was worn. This is an early 2-piece aluminum belt lock; the lock features a pebbly background, and the separate front plate is attached with 4 pins. The belt lock is complete with its original 98cm long lacquered leather belt, lined with field-gray wool, as found together. A beautiful original early parade-type belt with lock in good used condition, perfect for completing a Waffenrock!
