Wehrmacht (Heer) Belt with Buckle (Koppel und Koppelschloß). On January 24, 1936, this new model enlisted belt buckle was officially introduced and replaced the previous Weimar period Reichsheer belt buckle. The basic design remained unchanged, with only the addition of the new Wehrmacht-style national eagle. This belt buckle model was worn throughout the Third Reich period, with minor variations and color differences. The color differences were determined by regulations, which dictated which style of uniform it was worn with. A beautiful field gray/green painted steel belt buckle. The belt buckle is complete with its original leather tab, which is nicely maker marked by the firm Schmole & Comp. from Menden and dated 1941.
